In night light When I lay me down to sleep Feeling so lost inside No dreams, hopes or prayers Nothing there under all the layers. Constant pain deep within Destroys all my focus An empty hole, a void Darkness I need to avoid. Life is grand, so I'm told Life is great, is the belief Wanting to exist to be stable Alone and quite unavailable. Sunshine brings the light A song in my head repeats Rain and thunder in my heart Tears my inner being apart.
