A Fathers Dream As you helped me with my first steps You have always been there for me. When I fell, you picked me up And never was I down for long. You made the scary ones go away Never to enter my dreams again, You always stood strong Never backed down, when you were right. You carried the weight When I was too weary, You have always been there Even when I forgot. Today Daddy I was asked by another man, To be his wife I hope he is just like you! For the strength You have shown, Is hard to compare That there could be another Just like You.
