Queen Elizabeth II
You were but a flower,
When you came into power,
Standing tall,
Expected to run it all.
But though you were sad,
You didn't do bad,
So young to be 'Head of State',
Although it was your fate.
Now fifty years, have come and gone
Made your point and beyond,
Reigning Supreme,
You are the Queen.
Giving your country, so much more,
Your son went, when called to war
Keeping monarch, separate from one another
For you are also, daughter, wife and mother.
